Frequently Asked Questions

Where does your matcha come from?

Our matcha is sourced directly from Shizuoka Prefecture and Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan—two of the country's most renowned tea-growing regions. These regions are known for producing premium-quality matcha with exceptional flavor, vibrant color, and consistent quality.

Do you have wholesale prices?

Yes, we offer wholesale pricing. For wholesale pricing details, please email us at good.one.cafe@gmail.com or send us a message through our Facebook account.

What tea cultivars do you use?

We primarily use Yabukita, Japan's most widely grown tea cultivar, prized for its balanced flavor, fresh vegetal notes, and versatility.

For our Signature Blend – Gokumi, we carefully blend Okumidori and Yabukita to create a richer, creamier profile with deeper umami and nutty notes.

Is all of your matcha ceremonial grade?

Yes. All of our matcha is 100% ceremonial grade, carefully sourced from Shizuoka and Uji Prefecture, Japan.

What does "ceremonial grade" mean?

Ceremonial grade is the highest quality of matcha. It is made from carefully selected young tea leaves that are shade-grown before harvest, resulting in a naturally vibrant green color, smooth texture, rich umami, and minimal bitterness.

Unlike lower grades that are primarily intended for cooking or baking, ceremonial-grade matcha delivers a clean, well-balanced flavor and can also be used to create exceptional lattes and specialty beverages.
